About the Role
The LTSS Solutions Technical Writer is a key member of the Collective Insight team and will assist with writing evaluation reports based on data findings and request for proposal (RFP) applications for managed care bids. The Technical Writer brings experience writing reports and/or proposals for program evaluations, health insurance payers, or providers. The ideal candidate will have experience in various managed care markets (e.g., with health plans and community-based organizations), including Medicaid managed care, Medicare, and specialty populations (such as disability, foster care, older adults, maternal child health, etc.). Under the general direction of the Project Director, the Technical Writer may offer writing support for up to 20 hours a week during peak writing cycles.
• Assist the Collective Insight team with researching best practices, drafting outlines, drafting narrative, and revising narrative for managed care RFP bids.
• Review and edit other team member’s narratives for use of consistent terms and formatting.
• Create clear and effective visual depictions for narratives (e.g., tables and charts).
• Contribute to writing reports and project summaries.
• Other support as needed.
Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work, Behavioral Health, Nursing, or related health care field; or equivalent.
Technical writing experience with knowledge in writing responses for managed care RFP bids and qualitative analysis reports strongly preferred.
Experience with managed care and/or the integration of health care and community-based social services preferred.
Excellent general writing, editing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Experience with one or more unique populations (such as disability, foster care, older adults/frail elderly, maternal child health, etc.).
Ability to work well in a team environment as well as manage own productivity, timelines.
Demonstrated experience working in dynamic, deadline driven environment.
Daytime availability of office hours while working remotely with some evening and weekend work, when needed.
