Michael Monson is a nationally recognized leader in long-term services and supports (LTSS), Medicaid and Medicare, and complex populations, including dual eligibles and older adults. He brings extensive experience across payer and provider systems, spanning nonprofit, for-profit, and large national organizations.

Most recently, Michael served as President and CEO of Altarum, where he led efforts to improve health outcomes for underserved populations through system design, data analytics, and practice transformation. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Medicaid and Complex Care at Centene Corporation, with national responsibility for programs serving more than 12 million members across 30 states.

Earlier in his career, Michael held leadership roles at Village Care of New York and the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, and began his career in consulting at McKinsey. He holds a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
