Better engagement.

Stronger research.

Researchers, patients, and community partners know engagement matters. Even so, there are very few ways to measure engagement quality. Most tools ask how partners feel about engagement. The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Engagement Measure (PCOR-EM), V1.0 asks what actually happened to determine where your engagement sits on a continuum of low- to high-quality engagement.

The 19-item measure takes about 10 minutes to complete and provides an engagement quality score to support reflection, discussion, and improvement.

Built for the real world

Shaped by more than 100 researchers, engagement facilitators, and patient and community partners, and tested by 266 people.

Quick to complete

Just 19 items -- about 10 minutes
